"I'd like to say a big thank you for all that you contributed to the wonderful birth of my daughter. The hypnobirthing course was so incredibly beneficial in helping me clarify the kind of birth I hoped for and making me feel more confident and at ease." RM 12 2022 |
Hello! I'm Kate. Congratulations on your pregnancy! Through my online or face to face KG Hypnobirthing courses I empower women to birth their baby with calm confidence. I believe every woman has the right to be in control of their birth experience by making informed decisions that are right for her and her baby. I am a pragmatist and completely understand that pregnancy and birth do not always go to plan. I can’t predict the type of birth you’ll have - nobody can! But I can help you to prepare for anything. Perhaps your baby is breech, you require an induction or face a Caesarean birth. You’ll learn hypnobirthing strategies to get you through any type of birth - so when the dimmed lights and the birth pool become out of reach, a positive birth experience is still within your grasp. I will be there to help you explore your options and signpost you to resources and enable you to make informed decisions. My KG Hypnobirthing teacher training is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives in the UK – a mark of quality and professionalism I value. I have a Diploma in Antenatal Education and taught the more traditional NCT style Antenatal Classes in Belgium for a number of years. All my acquired knowledge, skills and experience as an antenatal teacher inform and enrich my hypnobirthing courses. I am always happy to chat all things hypnobirthing. Give me a call! Kate |

"Many thanks for the training and for all this very helpful information. We both enjoyed the course very much and found that it has given us the right tools to navigate labour and birth in a peaceful and positive way."
What is Hypnobirthing?
In a 12 hour KG Hypnobirthing course you will learn how to release fear (which can create pain) and gain a powerful toolkit of techniques including breathing, visualisation and self-hypnosis to help you journey confidently through your labour. By using self-hypnosis techniques you, as the one in control, will be able to put yourself into an altered state of awareness during labour and how to remain relaxed and calm. Hypnobirthing acknowledges the importance of the birth companion's role and gives them a specific part to play. What makes it special is the extra insight it offers in how to use hypnobirthing in the medical system in which you find yourself. This is extremely important as the environment you are in and the people around you can make a significant difference to your experience of giving birth.

"It’s not about being able to plan every second of your birth. It’s about feeling the strength in yourself to accept the process and make the right choices for you and your new baby" |
When should I take a KG Hypnobirthing Course?
Most couples start their hypnobirthing classes at between 25 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. However, the approaches used in hypnobirthing work best when practised until they become second nature. Therefore, it’s never too early in your pregnancy to take up hypnobirthing. The techniques will also help you to focus on positivity, control stress and build confidence which can be beneficial not only in labour but throughout your pregnancy.
The benefits of Hypnobirthing?
Babies are often calmer, content and sleep really well. They seem to thrive better. It may seem miraculous but this is how Hypnobirthing is designed to be. |
"Our daughter was born smoothly in the birthing pool. The hypnobirthing for sure helped me, I feel." |
"I strongly believe that I would not have been able to have such a wonderful birth experience, if it wasn't for the courage and confidence I gained from the hypnobirthing course"
